I just found out something great. Those "awake times" and the middle-of-the-night times of rapid pulse are caused by adrenaline spikes. The question I had about salt working for them? Well, seems that having a little salt (sea salt, that is) and a little sugar (I'm having good luck without the sugar) put a halt to that.
This and other good info on sea salt's health benefits is found at http://empoweredsustenance.com/salt-is-good-for-you. At last, some of my most pressing questions have answers!
