I can't wait to be a physics-fueled engine of death
I see your reference, seanan mcguire. and I love it.
“This world is unforgiving and cruel to those it judges as even the slightest bit outside the norm. If anyone should be kind, understanding, accepting, loving to their fellow outcasts, it’s you. All of you. You are the guardians of the secrets of the universe, beloved of worlds that most will never dream of, much less see … can’t you see where you owe it to yourselves to be kind? To care for one another? No one outside this room will ever understand what you’ve been through the way the people around you right now understand.”

I can’t describe how much I love @seananmcguire‘s writing. I’m reading Imaginary Numbers, and by page 39 there’s already been three lines that I’ve wanted to write down and send to a friend because they’re just so GOOD! I’m probably going to have to give in and read the ones she’s written as Mira Grant even though I don’t like horror, because I just adore how she phrases things.
“Anyone who thinks cryptozoology is the study of the impossible has never really taken a very good look at the so-called "natural world." Once you get past the megamouth sharks, naked mole rats, and spotted hyenas, then the basilisks, dragons, and cuckoos just don't seem that unreasonable. Unpleasant, yes, but unreasonable? Not really.”
