❝ you hate it, that’s why it hates you. ❞ w.g.g. at cloud but its about the cat that won't let cloud pet it
behind him, genji's voice flickers that same instinctive alarm of defensiveness cloud only recently became aware of. “ what ? hate it ? i don't hate it ! ” again, it's an instinct, all the frowning and, on an equally noticeable degree, pouting. he's still kneeling after the cat left to hide behind genji's leg, remaining defeated and . . . a little jealous. but jealousy isn't the way he wants to maneuver the slums——— and, distantly, he remembers the fair share of envying he did as a kid. so, his frown dissipates along with the sigh he lets out. alright. better now.
( what is it with genji inadvertently inspiring him to actually think, anyway ? )
“ . . . guess i still give off some mako. or. somethin'. ” he dusts off the dirt from his knees, turning to face him. and the damn cat. ugh. “ i just can't believe they're not scared of you. since, you know. ” he’s . . . very cyborg looking and all. he wonders briefly if genji has some kind of heating on his legs, and if that's what draws the cats in. hm. is that cheating ? cloud thinks it's cheating.
