Hi everyone! I wanted to share the pilot trailer for Electro Andes, an andean-insipired cyberpunk series produced by independent Argentinian animation studio, Bellolandia.

My friend works as a producer on this and right now they're doing the festival rounds trying to finance the whole project, any love you could give would be greatly appreciated!

well, here’s the short film I made while I lived in hong kong in 2018. there’s no sound because i couldn’t find the right person to do it, but i don’t care anymore so I’m just going to release this. since this was now several years ago my goals for my own artwork have changed quite a bit but I think it’s still kind of fun to watch now. hope you enjoy it.

Animation doesn’t have to be attached to a big American brand to be good.

Some of my all-time favorite animated movies from the last several years haven’t even been made in America:

Khumba (2013) Triggerfish Animation, South Africa

Leafie a Hen Into the Wild (2011) Myung Films, South Korea

Duck Duck Goose (2018) Original Force Animation/Wanda Media Co., China/US Collaboration 

Sahara (2017) La Station d'Animation, French-Canadian

White Fang (2018) Superprod/Bidibul/Big Beach, France/Luxemburg 

Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki (2013) Studio Chizu, Japan

None of these were made by Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar or Sony. What they have in common was they were all (with the exception of Leafie) either film festival babies that never made it to the silver screen in the US or went straight to video/netflix and therefore that somehow ‘diminished’ their worth?

Nah. Nah brah. You don’t need mouse ears or a jumping lamp to inform people your animation is good and you’re about to enjoy the movie. Animation speaks for itself. I just wish more animation audiences realized that.

I’m tired of talking with people about a movie I saw and liked and they say ‘oh that looked stupid.’ I ask, ‘did you watch it or the trailer?’ And they say ‘no. It just looked stupid.’ 

These same people rave when Disney comes out with a new animated feature and in the same breath groan that Disney never makes anything original anymore.

Maybe... branch out??? Yourself??

Aight, my little rant is over. Basically this is to say don’t judge a book by its cover. Or a movie by its buzzfeed/rotten tomatoes/ whatever people look for to get the info they can’t see for themselves.
