Taking Care Of A Zoo Is Like Taking Care Your Home Only 5 Times More Difficult

I’m a zoo keeper of more than 5 years already and I do love my job. I love how I go to work every day and see all these animals recognize me as their trainer and care provider. I love how I get to introduce them to kids who look at me as if I’m a real-life superhero. The children that visit our zoo always get amazed at the connection that I have established between myself and these animals that I care for. HOWEVER, just like any other job, there are also some aspects of zoo-keeping that I don’t really hate but I don’t love either.

For instance, I get really stressed out when our drainage lines or toilets get clogged. You know how many people visit the zoo every day. If they discover that a toilet isn’t working, they of course get irate because of the inconvenience. And when customers aren’t happy with our service or our facilities, they will have second thoughts on visiting our zoo in the future. That’s bad for business. Aside from this, I cannot deny the fact that poor plumbing or clogged drainage lines are a pain in the ass.
