Just when you thought things in #Belarus couldn’t get anymore #surreal, they did. As #protesters lined up outside the gates of the presidential #IndependencePalace (heavily guarded by practically everything that the #Belarusian #specialforces had to offer), #Lukashenko made a #dramatic landing at his #Minsk #residence and brought another #gun. Several videos filmed by his own #pressservice show the #incumbent President flying over Minsk in his #helicopter. In one video he can be heard saying 'they’re running like rats', presumably referring to the protesters on the ground. Other footage shows him leaving the helicopter and casually strolling towards his residence with an assault rifle in hand, accompanied by his 15-year-old son, #Nikolay, both dressed in full tactical gear.
