InDesign Help

Argh, okay, I have a 30+ page document in PDF or DocX format. HOW do I import this into Indesign CS so that it isn’t all on one page? So it actually imports pg 3 to pg 3 etc?

There HAS to be a better way than copying and pasting, and all the googling just shows me outdated Windows solutions. I am on a Mac in 2017, and I’m going to kill something.

BTW the indesign forum isn't helping me so far so lemme shoot this out here.

i use indesign at work and very often i am opening and working in old docs used by others, so i sometimes come across settings i'm not used to that idk how to fix.

i'm working in a doc now and, when i have objects on the pasteboard next to a page, and i add or move pages and they shuffle, the pasteboard objects stay put exactly where they are rather than moving along with the page. i prefer they move along with the page they are adjacent to, like they have in past documents i've worked in.

where can i change my settings to enable this??

Does anyone know what to do when your Adobe InDesign document won’t let you save because the file’s been ‘damaged’? It gives me an error code of 1. I’m literally going to sit here all night until I can save this document. I cannot lose this document.

so I was working in InDesign and my keyboard stopped working.. it works outside of InDesign but it doesn’t work in the programme itself.. I can move the boxes around and stuff like that, I can use my touchpad but that’s about it... I can’t like, start a new paragraph or copy + paste something, I can’t use shortcuts... nothing. I tried restarting my laptop but it doesn’t work..

does anyone know what could help?
