ā„Ā - What does āloveā mean to them?Ā
To Snowdrift, love means more than just a simple romantic attachment. It means you place your trust and faith in the other person, and occasionally there are some bumps in the road (some far more unpleasant than others)ā¦but it also means that you have someone to care for and someone to care for you.
ā®Ā - Do they have an idol or someone they look up to?
Iād have to say that his mother was one of those role models. His father wasnāt the easiest person to get to know, but ultimately Tsing and Ayami cared a great deal about what happened to their son and made sure to raise him correctly.
Taran Zhu is another role modelā¦although after the dreadful incident where the Lord of the Shado-Pan fell to the Sha of Hatred, Snowdrift is acting as far more of a confidant than he was before (he didnāt realize Taran had bottled that stuff up about the outsiders until the damn Sha had taken over him). If anything, the Sha of Hatred incident was a defining moment for Snowdrift as well - he had to take a stand against his own commander and one of his best friends. If he didnāt? The Shado-Pan would have fallen.
ā¤Ā - Do they have a love interest?
No, he doesnāt. Not in canonā¦and certainly not here.
Does he have people here that he respects a great deal? Of course. But love? Thatās not something heās versed in. He has ideas about itā¦he just hasnāt had the chance to put them into practice.
āĀ - Do they value loyalty?
Absolutely. Itās what made his decision to leave his first job a very difficult oneā¦but ultimately a job can be replaced.
A friendās life and their trust in him are far, far more difficult to repair. Say whatever you like about resurrection fields or whatever the scientists have got going, but Snowdrift would not have been able to forgive himself had he chosen to kill one of his best friends (and it was very, VERY much his choice).
