I've spent like the last month without hot water, I've had emergency after emergency happen since the start of the year, and I'm struggling to keep up with commissions at all. For the first time in literally years, I had a moment of peace over the weekend to flesh out some of my character designs and story for one of my original comics I hope to one day make. This was a very therapeutic piece for me, and i really hope to do more soon. For those interested, a story synopsis is below:

This scene features Mozica (The one with eyes), a year after the fall of the Father Silence, the evil god who enslaved him in the Aboveworld. When his gemstone shattered, he was returned to the Otherworld where he was originally from (unbeknownst to himself, as all of his memories of the Otherworld were lost when he was taken into slavery several thousands of years ago). It is here where he met another being like himself for the first time, known only as "The Other One". 

While trapped in this Limbo, he is forced to watch Riley, his beloved from the Aboveworld, believe that he has died and mourn his death. He swears to never leave Riley's side despite the fact that they are stuck in parallel worlds and that Riley may never actually know that he's there for the rest of their lives. During this time, The Other One insists on following them as well, constantly antagonizing Mozica about how they will never be together again. The Other One tries to show Mozica the wonders of their own home world, and the life he finally has a chance to return to, but Mozica insists to stay by Riley's side, unsure why The Other One refuses to leave him alone until this very moment. 

Their species is entirely nonbinary, nor do they even use names to identify one another since they communicate through different means, but Mozica spent his entire life in the Aboveworld and generally is accustomed to their customs. He insists on still using his name, and prefers to still use pronouns (preferably male though he uses both) for himself by choice despite it not being natural in the Otherworld. The Other One was against this at first, but quickly adjusted to his preferences.
