Illiterate people really can't spell the word urban classist feminism and misuse the “Savarna women feminism” around to say how women of a certain class (which they confuse with caste) especially in urban places only think about themselves.
Don't get me wrong. Yes urban women sometimes do have their head up their ass while thinking about feminism and the don't think about how the broader demography of women in smaller towns/ villages or women are stuck in a much conservative situation.
Yes not all women can have the support or situation to do everything that urban women think is a woman's right in feminism.
But to call it fucking SAVARNA FEMINISM??
I'm sorry but that's not helping any women at all. And it's a weird casteist generalization in itself that you believe all urban women who are in a comfortable or richer economic situation are of upper caste. And that all poorer rural women are of lower caste.
THAT. IS. CASTEISM.
As someone who is from the so called “lower caste” and has grew up in a tier 1 city since birth, this statement pisses me off so much.
You not only are dismissing that upper caste people can and are in bad conditions. But is also showing your narrow thinking that all lower caste people are poor and in need of a saviour.
Do not play the oppressor and oppressed card on me. I no way in hell am oppressed. And neither do I want to misuse the term Savarna just to demean a perticular group of people. It's shitty and stereotypical AND CASTEIST.
Class and caste did used to be intertwined in earlier times, but in modern times it has long since become distinct. Especially in urban places.
Even without that. Even knowing many lower caste people DO still till day suffer issues and face discrimination in many places. Have less access to resources like education and basic necessities. It is still an insult to everyone if you believe all of them are stuck in the same poor situations as before.
You in your thoughts and believes at the end of the day are casteist and saying “savarna women don't care for other castes women” are also misogynist. Because at the end of the day you ARE stereotyping and villainizing a whole group of women just because of their birth.
Casteism can and DOES happens to upper caste people as well. And I am saying this as a member of the so called “lower castes” who in you head will always be victims.
You want casteism to not be an issue and when you are given the chance to not be a casteist to ANYONE and seperate people from their caste identity so the system can be ditched, you choose to do the be an entitled idiot crying wolf and reinforce caste based identity even harder.
Hot take
Scriptures accurate Hinduism needed more points about autonomy and welfare of children than it needed about women or any caste and class.
Because one, the notion women or anyone were mistreated because what's written in the religious texts isn't right. (No Manusmriti is not a religious text)
Second, there is NO mentions or practices of parent's duty to their children and what actions or words against their own kids should be considered as sins or wrong.
Because in a country like India, people really needed to have atleast something resembling “word of dharma/bhagwan” to stop the very problematic behaviours parents have been doing with their children as long as time goes.
There's many good points of Indian parents which the west can adapt, but there are numerous bad points and practices that Indian parents do, which in my opinion should be criminalized by the government.
The extremeness of how brutally parents beat their children, or says the most vile of verbal insults. Or the actual lack of consent and privacy indian kids have in their own home especially during the teenage years, isn't funny.
Rather it is disturbing and shameful from the parents end. Yes, I partially blame centuries old social practices and scriptures for this. Because most Indian people are simply to dumb to come to the realisation that their behaviour harms their children more than it benifits them.
In my personal beliefs, it is somewhat true many Indian parents see their children as an extension of themselves or an investment rather than actual living breathing human being that has their own thoughts and decisions.
It pisses me off to think how little the government cares about a child's well-being at their own homes, that even if the child is stuck in the worst of worse abusive situation, still they have no proper way to escape their parents and be under protection.
The way we have laws for the stupidest of things in this country, but not a single law for the protection or security of children is something I don't see anybody talking about.
This might have been a rant making the topic sound dramatic. But the issue isn't overexaggerated, I've said the absolute truth that many people refuses to admit.

anyway your reply is so fucking ignorant i don’t even want to start on this. if you actually want to learn, read these articles: 1, 2, 3, 4 but if all you want to do is start shit, just stay off my blog
also no, don’t let people wear whatever the fuck they want when those actions negatively harm others and reinforce racist institutions and blatantly ignore the suffering of many minorities. it’s not a blanket pass to wear whatever you want, it’s called being a fucking decent human being and acknowledging how others have struggled and faced oppression in ways you haven’t and likely never will
