Haryanvi Khaap Panchayats are the worst.

On odd days they ban love marriage.

On even days they ban girls from owning smartphones because it "ruins" their mindset. (AS if its the girl watching porn on full volume in afternoons and not Sarpanch Saab ka Chhora)

And yes, a village panchayat just banned Love marriage.

I come from one of the progressive districts so I never had to see this stuff in my village, but allow me to tell you that its true: there are entire villages out there systematically persecuting women in ignorance of their fundamental rights.

They honour kill them, they kill them for dowry, they on a local government level ban them from enjoying their rights.

Maybe its time we stop making jokes about how Haryana doesn't have women but start wondering why we never see Haryanvi women :)

Please for the love of it. The jester is supposed to atleast pretend to be funny. Why is he smug and cocky and why is he acting as an equal with the princess since the beginning without consequences.

That's not it.

I understand fiction and fantasy. But some tropes require a certain amount of realism and accuracy to work. Otherwise it's bland and boring.

I was never a huge fan of Aemond while reading the books, but what they've done to his character in the series genuinely makes me angry.

Aemond is supposed to be loyal to his brother and the greens. He died defending Aegon's cause. He accepted regency rather than stealing it and stepping over his half dead brother. He was a ruthless warrior who made terrible political decisions, sure, but he was never portrayed as someone who would betray Aegon.

The show is taking Rhaenys And Meleys achievements and essentially handing them to Aemond only to use these changes to make him look like a pathetic traitor to his brother (and family) who wants to crack his mother.

Everything he has ever done (no matter how controversial or bad the choices were) was done to secure the victory for the greens, and now the show has him on his knees begging the same brother he betrayed.

listen it's not that I think epic the musical is a perfect adaption of the odyssey but it was an impressive passion project that knew what it wanted to be and knew what people gravitated to in the original work and it put significant effort into conveying this through its unique medium and tone to the point that hundreds of other people felt compelled to put effort into their own artistic interpretations of that version of the story. and that's really cool! and yes I would be more critical if it was a 100 million dollar project made by a professional because what the fuck do you mean you're a world-famous director and you cut the my name is nobody scene are you goddamn serious
