People like to say "oh if you had seen red bull seb you would never been a fan of his"
Uh no I very much would have.
1. I was very much a boy genius myself back then, so I would have definitely been a fan of a fellow wunderkid. I would have seen sebastian as my evolved form, and him being annoying and entitled would be aspirational for me.
2. Does anyone even remember the top-tier quotes he spat out every race or two? "Never lift. Never stop believing." EXCUSE ME?? How do you not scream yes sebastian at the screen after hearing that live??
3. His colour scheme was very similar to my favourite beyblade, galaxy pegasus. Obviously it was a match made in heaven. I still remember the front-page ad from his 3rd Indian GP win, that had the Red-Bull on it. It looked like an alien spaceship.
I like to imagine some alternate timeline where I still saw the first Indian GP back when it was televised, except here I actually understood what was happening and fell in love with the 23-year old asshole who won that thing, 7 years before schedule.
