On the gig at @indylibrary in Downtown Indianapolis. One setup in the East Garden and one in the Atrium. It was a wonderful evening and I even saw a few books I want to read. On the scene at @sunkingbrewing for the CANvitational VIP party again and it was funky again. It’s been wonderful to get to play at Sun King in a variety of arrangements dating back to 2010. Shout out to @luckyerinoshea @sunkingclay and the whole crew. I was by the canning area, which is some machinery that does things that I can’t explain but the science of brewing and canning is fascinating to me. Lotta thinking going on to make anything and delicious beer crafting is no different. On two different gigs, both near the Canal in downtown Indianapolis. Gig 1: playing tunes for the Pit Stop Paddle, a paddle boat and real paddle race on the canal. Peace to the @indianapolismotorspeedway @downtownindy and @indianahistory crew, my homie @laurenguidotti especially. Gig 2: a showing of Talladega Nights near @canal337, another Downtown Indy & IMS event. Playing outside is always fun. Something about knowing somebody far away might hear a little music and wonder where it’s coming from and hopefully walk over to it. Also saw my fellow Butler alum @jilliandeamnews working as an emcee. Bulldogs family out here representing! And the view from Canal 337 is clutch. On the gig at @target late at night for a @butleru Welcome Week takeover of the store. Yes, a Sunday night Target takeover. Get your dorm room essentials and get these jaaams too. Special shout out to my brotha @jjlii30 for catching me with my tongue out while working, a habit I haven’t broken since birth. Another special shout out to @emma_c_wilson for being in the spot super hype as usual. Good to see my HN300 students out here. Saw one of my former high school students. On the gig at @canal337 for another celebration of love and happiness. The bride is the sister of a bride who I worked for about 5 years ago. Good to see my people living well, growing a family together, staying married and happy. That’s really the best part of these moments, seeing folks start a new life together and how happy they are. On the gig at the @scottysbrewhouse downtown, Circle City. Celebrating life and jaaammin with @julievoris and her team. I had a ball runnin’ jaaams with good people, especially spending a lot of time rocking blends. I learned how to DJ by watching and listening to DJs rock blends. No shoes in the dryer, a clean blend. On the gig at @indianalandmarks, which is a nice thing in itself. I love working receptions at this place. Gotta go and see the beautiful theater too.
