Located about 450km north of the Gold Coast the flight to the Lady Elliot Island takes almost 1.5 hours but nonetheless offers one of the most scenic flights you can find in the world. As the journey starts,and you fly over the North and South Stradbroke Islands, Moreton Island and Fraser Island -- you catch glimpses of many white sand beaches, beautiful suburbs, periodic cliffs and of course, an eternal turquoise sea. And since it is a small chartered plane and doesn't fly much higher (like big planes do) spotting life on land is so much easier. So yea, the flight to The Lady Elliot Island has been the most scenic flight I've ever experienced. But how about you?
