it's definitely nowhere near canon but single dad! caspar has really taken hold of me today.
like what if his little sister never left with their mother back to england. what if their mother left, and their father was an abusive dick, and caspar was left to take care of them both. what if he ended up in new york with his little sister, working two jobs to support them both, miserable but keeping it together for indie bc he wants to give her the best childhood possible.
and then he meets jamie, and he finally has a place he can be dumb and happy and 22, where he doesn't feel like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. he doesn’t tell jamie about indie or about any of it. he just wants one place where he doesn't have to think about all his responsibilities.
there are so many ways that could all come crashing down. but i love the idea of caspar and his sassy pre-teen daughter/sister and a completely bewildered but supportive boyfriend trying to help and having no idea what he's gotten himself into.
