Making banners, and reviewing material we will present to elementary students while at the Counselor chapter house, during our walk, Nihígaal bee Iiná. Material included an explanation of how energy resource extraction poisons, pollutes and subjugates our communities while keeping us as economic hostages: highlighting the dangers of fracking within the Eastern Agency of the Navajo reservation: also, the importance of Dinétah, Diné philosophy, and taking pride in our ways as Diné: and lastly, emphasizing how we should respect, protect, and listen to our Diné women because violence upon her is the destruction of land and culture, the disruption of ké, and the obstruction of our matrilineal systems that prevent abuse, a withdrawal from practicing the healing that is inherent within loving our sisters, daughters, mothers and grandmothers.
