The Haudenosaunee used to call their longhouses, “kanohsas.” I couldn’t get aiart to produce one and had to tweak clipart illustration to give readers an idea what I was talking about. It’s a major part of Wakia’s life story, so I wanted to create an illustration of it.

What it does create for indigenous themed art is based on stereotypical images. I’d be insulted but it’s heartening to see that AI doesn’t know how to write work or create indigenous themed art.
