I keep posting about Nathan Philip because he showed unbelievable bravery in the face of pure hatred. He didn’t stand down as hatred literally surrounded him and taunted him. He stood strong as a barrier between them and other protestors with him. He sang a song honoring his ancestors and I cannot tell you how much this story fills me with rage, but his actions bring me peace. Peace knowing indigenous people will not, cannot be erased.
