while the main party has its charm (i.e., candy!!), yuri's far more interested in checking out that secret underground tavern. he'd wasted the last half hour feeling up the walls for anything out of the ordinary, but it seems like his sidekick finally picked up on the smell of booze! a dog's nose knows.

he tests each stone until he hears a click; a deep, low rumble filling the empty corridor as a section of the wall reveals its gaping passage.

wait, the hall was empty, wasn't it? where'd this lady come from!?

"...hey." hopefully she's also heard the rumors, otherwise this'd look pretty damn shady, huh. "nice timing. you like cellars?" (repede barks once at that, unimpressed).

She feels pretty cowardly having run from Fibonacci the way she has, but what else was she supposed to do?

Whatever, she's in another ward now and she's working on catching her breath. "Haru...I don't know what's going on, but..." She's a little overwhelmed so to speak.

"I'll have to be honest," She says rather sheepishly, "I'm not entirely sure what a Halloween is, but I see a lot of shops and a lot of people are basing their themes off of such."

She knew nothing of the holiday BUT she knew that New Jersey had A LOT of answers!

"Will you be celebrating this Halloween as well?"

..oooOOOoooo-TIK-tk-t. Such was the faint whistling of a toy arrow flying through the air and clattering at the foot of someone who'd just exited their house in Fibonacci, the ground beneath it lightly spattered with the goop that tipped the end of it. Just a moment later, a cry of "Hey, that's mine! Hold on a second- I'll get it!" heralded the arrival of the one who fired the arrow, lightly panting for a moment before they leaned down to pick it up. Judging by their face, they were none too pleased with some aspect of the current state of affairs.

"Gwuh. This thing hardly even leaves a dapple of whatever this stuff on it is, much less the ink trail I need it to! I'm sure Sheldon would laugh if he saw me having to use this thing..." It was only after this musing that they remembered the strange person who'd nearly been pelted by the pitiful projectile they'd propelled, to whom their attention turned. "Excuse me! Do you know where I might be able to buy ink weapons that are actually worth something? Whoever dropped me off here, what they gave me isn't cutting it." She figured that was on purpose and there wouldn't be such possibilities open to her, but better to try their luck and receive a negative response than to let an opportunity slip by, right?

“anyone not looking to fight please evacuate to a safe area! it’s far too dangerous to go beyond the city currently!”

albedo was diligent, patrolling along borders of the city in order to keep any stragglers out that could pose a threat to the citizens - as there were threats all around between hordes of flying menaces and the larger creatures invading the branches outside the city.

naturally, albedo was only doing his best to do his part in the circumstances. it was just lucky that in place of a wooden sword he now held his actual weapon.

of course, he would have hoped not to have to use it— that things would stay calmer within the city— but the enemy was persistent, to say the least.

so when he turns around and sees someone about to be assaulted by two vicious invaders, his first instinct is to push her out of the way of danger before brandishing his sword.

“look out—!”

but he can just barely stop the assault of one latcher with the swing of his blade let alone two, the other pelting albedo with it’s body as it flies at him, with enough force to knock him off balance and put him in danger.
