Genius had no annotations on this song and I haven't found a wikipedia article for the song. It'd just be nice to know a little more about when the song was written and recorded and what Jonathan Richman's intentions were in this celebration of goth girls.

Ruminations on “Pyramid Song” by Radiohead

This track is one of my favorites in the entire Radiohead discography. I generally find more allure in their louder guitar-driven songs, but I’m addicted to the sprawling dark landscape of this track. For me, it pushes Amnesiac over the hump into my favorite half of RH’s discography (fifth favorite, probably) because it so gracefully emits a hopelessly bleak atmosphere. The heavy, hesitant piano chords and the haunting string ambiance almost make it sound like Thom Yorke is singing into the void...
