Grovyle knew this Azelf, but, at the same time they felt like a complete stranger to him, but it was more or so the fact he was trying to actively forget about the events that had ensued that day. They wanted to run away from this place, it caused him so much anguish and regret, everything felt so surreal to Grovyle.
But, he wasn’t here for any specific reason, he’d stumbled in from a storm, he didn’t want to get sick, on top of how he was already feeling towards seeing Azelf again since his mission for the Time Gears. In a way, Grovyle was there to make amends, but, at the same time, he knew an episode was coming on.
Other than the need to escape from the rain, and, attempting to make amends with what he did...Grovyle knew the past to the future was a large gap of time but, that meant over a century of uncertainty to the Lake Guardians. How long did they have to live with the memory that he hurt them, and yet, Grovyle didn’t know what to say, but he’d at least attempt to do so. His breathing felt unsteady, his throat felt like it was locking up, but, through all the regret, he was able to speak to the Lake Guardian.
“I-I...just wanted to let you know, I didn’t want to attack you back there, it, still hurts me to do this day thinking about what I did.”
