In a rapidly changing environment, the generalist instructional designer needs to develop an impressive list of skills.
So I came across this article from thelearningcoach.com. I often wondered what it takes to be a successful instructional designer. I don’t think it is just having a degree, like the article says, but more the blood, sweat and tears needed to have a complete rounded idea. Projects from start to end, one must know exactly how to formulate the idea and mold the vision using actions and learning techniques (Malamed, n.d.).
