Hello! 👋 Can I interest anyone in my story Share My Stars, a Good Omens 1980’s Human AU fic that was partially inspired by Slow Show and The Secret History?
It features astrophysicist Crowley, English professor Aziraphale (Ezra), a reasonable amount of academia-based plot and hopefully-enjoyable side characters, an unfortunate amount of repression, and what I hope is a cozy yet also relatively realistic look at life on a small college campus in Vermont in 1987-88.
Rated E (eventually). Main tags are Slowburn, Requited Longing, and Angst with a Happy Ending. Content warnings for Period-Typical Homophobia.
Chapter 9 summary: Crowley makes an impulsive decision. Ezra reacts about how you'd expect.
Chapter 9 excerpt:
When Ezra made eye contact with Crowley across the man’s head, he smiled. The instant of that smile made the rest of the room fall away in a wash of faded color and noise. Crowley was drawn to him inexorably, moth to candleflame, unable to backpedal in midair even if he’d wanted to.
Chapter 10 summary: Ezra flips the script.

He lifted the snake up to examine it better. It was perhaps thirty centimeters long, black and gray with several tan streaks down its back. It wiggled forward hesitantly, sniffing the air, and its forked black tongue flicked out over his knuckles. Ezra laughed. “Hello to you, too,” he said. “You’re a beautiful little thing.”
