#ineffable snake

Today's Daily Crowley is for my German friend Melody. We got into a discussion about Trabants, the German cars which tend to be a bit snug. We were joking about the idea of Crowley trying to fit into a Trabant, and well, the next thing you know, it became a little story.

Happy May 21! Today’s @goodomenscelebration prompt is GARDEN. 

I have to admit, I’ve slowed down in my artmaking this week. I had been doing both the regular prompt and Anniversary prompt Wallpaper daily since May 1. This week has been a bit challenging as my energy has been channeled into some other things going on. So I decided to let the two a day go unless I have the time and inspiration to do both. And there’s no reason I can’t just create something from a missed prompt later on.  So here is today’s Garden pic, where our dear ones are at their South Downs cottage on a warm spring day. Crowley’s been puttering around the garden when he notices a little adder nestled in his apple tree. Of course he’s going to give it a snakey greeting, and now he’s got a new friend and unofficial guardian for his garden. Imagine a snake guarding a garden? Azi is relieved he doesn’t have to to that job again, as he’d rather stay busy preparing delicious lunches to dine al fresco. 

The kitten they found (also in a tree) earlier in May has come with them to South Downs, and loves being able to romp outside. She was always knocking over books in the shop. No worries, Crowley’s told the adder to leave her alone.

Happy Summer Solstice! Aziraphale has dragged Crowley down to the beach to watch the first sunrise of summer. This demon does not do early mornings well. His shirt says it all. He is muddling through the experience by drinking his coffee from a mug that definitely does NOT have David Tennant’s face on it...😉

This pic is based on a photo of a cross stitched snake with that same saying stitched below it. I copied the design of the snake from the cross stitch. Sadly there is nobody to attribute the original image to as it was a thrift store find that someone took a picture of. A friend in the group suggested I could do something fun with that snake and here we are.
