The One Thing I Miss From WWE.
Not the blood.
Not the swearing.
Not the half naked women.
THE INTENSITY - Kurt Angle personified what a WWE wrestler should be. His matches always felt like he was looking to win at the earliest opportunity, they never were anything less than frenetic and in turn these things make it look like winning matters. His Amateur background also meant that he had COMPETED in the sport of Wrestling and could legitimately fight, not only did that add to his back story but it also made him seem that he could out wrestle bigger guys, who's styles were a little more limited.
Watch him versus Rey Mystero or Undertaker & The Rock and you'll see just what I mean (although there is blood in the triple threat, the match didn't need it)
I'd like Kurt to come back to WWE for one final run, on a limited appearance contract, A feud with someone like CM Punk would be absolutely huge, but I could also see him working with Antonio Cesaro or Wade Barrett.
Anyway without intensity I don't feel like the matches mean anything anymore and apart from title matches, the wins or losses have no significance. Jack Swagger got his US title shot after what felt like a 3 month losing streak, yet we were meant to think of him as a credible champion. I use him as an example as he was clearly meant to be Angle 2.0 and although he did show he was a sound worker, he was lacking the intensity to get over with wrestling fans.
