Awww, that’s so lovely!! And such a nice coincidence haha I hope you enjoyed the movie as much as I did when I watched it. It’s honestly the most perfect NYE film! Cary and Kate are in top form in it (but they very rarely weren’t, you know?? lol)

hi, i'm the maker of the "join the trees" mix you reblogged! i read your tag, and: the font i used for the title of the mix, "tracklist" on the tracklist, and the frames of those titles is jellyka - le grand saut. the frames are just these: { }. the track names are jellyka - le grand saut textual, and the arrow (just this character: >) is djb - my boyfriend's handwriting. these fonts are all free; i found them on dafont. :)

oh my gosh after that super sweet comment about me as a beta (uvu) i have to ask 8 and 12 for folk singers!!

8. Was there anything I only learned about the fic after I had finished it? (themes, motifs, symbolism, etc)

compliments between artists are very important to me!! haha i realized that everyone compliments everyone else all the time. and i write a lot about sleeping? especially sleeping over with friends / falling asleep in rooms of people. i guess it's my go to for expressing extreme comfort and safety (cf the hold steady's "last night": "and then last night / she slept like she'd never been scared")

12. Did any thing about this fic’s reception surprise me?

i was always surprised that more people didn't call the fic out as being a fairly straightforward adaptation of les mis. and i've been surprised and thrilled by how many people read it, commented on it, yelled to me about it. also fanart!!! i never in a million years thought i'd get fanart
