imagine teresa being sent to a church camp bc he mom found out she had a fling with some girl at her school named harriet (thomas just told her to clear her messages more and then asked if she had anymore pot [thanks thomas]) so at the camp its just not teresa's cup of tea and she definitely looks out of place in her combat boots and skin tight crop tops but she attracts the attention of one of the counselors named brenda (p1)

(they end up getting close in the shower house but thats another story) and then they become inseperable over the summer but when one of the other counselers find out they both get kicked out but when teresa doesn’t get any phone calls from home she fingures that they dont know so they spend the rest of the summer exploring the nearby towns and sleeping in old motels and when teresas mom asks how it was she tells her it was great (she walked away with a girlfriend and maybe a new stick n poke)

oh my lord i have a mIGHTY NEED FOR MANY MORE SUMMER CAMP AUS AND WOWIE CAN U IMAGINE THO like them buying blankets and pillows so they can sleep in the back of the car they stole and working small waitress jobs to buy food and gas and showering at the local swimming pools afterhours in the dark and being so giddy bc what if we get caught omg and coin laundry and thrift stores and breakfast in tiny coffee shops with free wifi to charge her phone and download new music onto it every morning and listening to it for the rest of the day and deleting the ones they don’t like at the end of the day after driving around with it playing in the car and at the diner they work at part time and oh my god someone give me this or i swear to god

WHAT A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE HONESTLY, BEING GIFFED WAS A REALLY GOOD TIME, im really hoping i can get tickets if there’s a scorch trials nerdhq panel but i doubt i’ll be able to get tix cause it’s so popular now :(

hi kat i have like 50 crushes ok so i'm not gonna talk about all of them but i have a funny story about one of them for u ok so a couple of weeks ago i saw a crush in the mall and she noticed me and came up to me and said hi and asked how i was and stuff (bc she graduated last year so we hadn't seen each other in a while) and when she left i like couldn't even believe all that had just happened and i walked into a clothes rack

Teresa once heard a phrase in a song that she did not understand. she could not remember what the song was called nor who it was by, but the phrase had stuck with her for some time now. the phrase was ‘I am empty as a promise.’ it made no sense to her, promises are obviously not supposed to be empty. if they’d known right off the bat that the promise held no meaning, they wouldn’t have called it a promise. promise is a word reserved for sentences full of trust, for comfort and love. it is a word that made no sense in the context but teresa could not get it out of her mind. 

yet, as Rachel called her that day, as she listened to the most recent adventures of the courageous girl on the opposite end of the line and laughed in response, as she smiled with tears blurring her vision, as she was told that she would see her friend again soon, as she was promised that Rachel would come home this time, she felt numbed by the words. she felt grey inside and she felt as empty as the promise she’d just been given. and she finally understood.
