Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble Ramble, I miss Primary School!
I suddenly remembered a conversation I was having yesterday with a friend. We were exchanging remarks on the odd mix of people that once attended a party we had both been at. As we did, I told him that two of the people that had been there that night knew each-other because they had attended the same primary school. We both giggled a little at the thought.
I knew we laughed mainly because primary school now seems an eternity away. But today the thought occured to me, despite how long ago that was.. (we're both now 20) ... those two people could still say they "knew" each other, but really how well do you know someone at that age (below 11 years of age). Obviously, you don't really, but somehow you'll always be connected to those people you grew up with, and went to school with, even from the young days.
Its a lot more obvious to say you "know" someone that you attended high-school with, the association is stronger, mainly because you're older and a lot more aware, and your memories of it all a lot more vivid, because its not as far away. But about a decade ago, we still saw the magic in the world. How did we manage to forget those days, and still remember the people that belonged to them. The teachers that seemed so tall, but not intimidating, and the courtyards that seemed so big to our little eyes. A place were the classrooms were built for "little" people, but we never saw how little it was. The entire memory, that entire time, along with its courtyards and little classrooms, all so small, they all just faded; slowly slipped through our fingers like sand grains.
I miss those simple days. I guess that's what seeing people you'd long forgotten does to you. Takes you back to the time when you "knew" them, or thought you did. I don't know. I ramble a lot sometimes. It was just a random thought.
