He’d seen her that way many times. She was withdrawn, quiet, irritable when questioned and the alcohol didn’t seem to help - no matter how much she drank. As they’d gotten closer and spent more time together, Matt had began to learn how to deal with those situations. It seemed as though what she needed was somebody who was simply there and wouldn’t push to make her talk... Then again, maybe it was time to see what she’d tell him.
