“Oh look who it is it‘s kiryu how’s life been for you?” Dark asks with a raised eyebrow, voice filled with sarcasm as he just stares at the other with no idea what he’s doing or why but is ready to jump into action in an instant.

Akefia had gone for a wander all his possessions in his pocket as he’d picked up to find somewhere else to stay for a while. He never stayed in one place too long anyway, and it was definitely time. He was enjoying his first night back out in a while - it was cool without being too cold, and most importantly, it was quiet. The streets were clear as he slipped through them, remapping alleys to find somewhere to go for the night. It was serene.
Until it wasn’t.
Of all the people Akefia could have walked into - it had to be him. Not to mention, he reeked of alcohol and was barely standing upright. If ever there was a time he was easy to kill, now seemed like an excellent time. The thief was still recovering from his latest injuries, burns that had taken considerable time to heal and walk on again. He couldn’t trust Kalin’s gun to jam again this time. It was still too risky to harm him.
Akefia halted and remained upright as Kalin got closer - he could at least stare the drunken man down if nothing else.
“You look an absolute mess.” He narrowed his eyes, watching him closely. “Is tonight the night for what?”

“Back. Off.” He demanded as Kalin stepped back into his space. Akefia had lost woefully in their last battle and he still hadn’t recovered from his traffic accident enough to have any confidence in a rematch. He really didn’t like the look on the other man’s face.
Was this the point of landing in this city? To be tortured by quite possibly the only person worse than him in the world? It was a fitting punishment, he supposed. In a way, he almost wasn’t angry with the Gods for it. In a way, that acknowledgment had the thief dropping some of his fear too. Worse case scenario, he died.
Wasn’t that what he wanted anyway?
But what if he just woke up in another world, stuck in an endless loop?
“it’s hard to phase someone who isn’t scared of death.” He straightened up, but didn’t dare take his gaze of Kalin still. He kept his tone even, refusing to back down now. “You’ve been stalking me. Interesting. Did that start before I first caught sight of you, or have you just developed an obsession with stalking the homeless since that day?”
How many people make akefia unomfortable
((People make him uncomfortable by virtue of being people and he doesn’t feel terribly comfortable around them.
But if you mean like, people who full on unsettle him... very few. Yami Bakura has been just about the only person to do so, mostly because he knows way too freaking much. Kef knows it, Y!Bakura knows it, and it’s like the own torture he puts himself through but external and surprisingly difficult to get rid of.
Because a part of him wants to stick around and hear what an awful person he is.
Recently, Kef met Kalin Kessler (ment: @infernitymaster) and uh... that’s been a ride. Between his propensity for violence and his newfound obsession with Kef... he’s feeling pretty unsettled. Scared, even. He’s already had a concussion and a broken collarbone. He was pushed into freaking traffic. I think what scares him the most is how much Kalin is like himself but from before his downfall, and he knows how unhinged and unpredictable he was (and still can be). To have that energy directed at himself is big n o p e.
Also low-key unsettled by Seto Kaiba. Nobody should be that tall. 10/10 shouldn’t be allowed. Kef isn’t convinced he couldn’t take him in a fight and he doesn’t appreciate that feeling.))
One, two, Kalin's coming for you
Three, four, better lock your door
Five, six, grab a crucifix
Seven, eight, Ya better stay awake
Nine, ten, Kalin's back again
Akefia was losing his mind, he was sure. He was hearing things, he was jumpier than he’d been in a long time. Nothing felt safe anymore. Not that this city had ever felt particularly great to him to begin with, but now he found himself tracing the edges of it to find somewhere new to go.
He wasn’t sure how far would be safe - or how different the rest of this world was. It could have been worse, filled with more loose cannons like Kalin. All Akefia knew was he couldn’t end up in the hospital one more time. It invited too many questions and too many problems.
The thief had tried to reason with Kalin last time, or at least keep him calm, but it hadn’t worked either. His side was still recovering, burns still struggling to heal where he’d had to leave the hospital early, and his headaches more frequent since his concussion. He couldn’t stay still long enough to let his body heal properly, afraid to get caught in another fire. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d slept longer than half an hour, always getting up to pace around his latest hide. The patrolling only set back the healing of his legs further.
Akefia was steadily getting sicker, and sicker.
@infernitymaster
Who/what does he fear the most
((As previously mentioned, the only people who truly unsettle or scare him are Y!Bakura & Kalin @infernitymaster.
His fears more involve the unknown, really. He’s scared of the whole overwhelming amount of unknown about his future. If he dies again, will he wake up somewhere else? Will it be worse? Is he doomed to just die over and over again in new and wonderful ways, after muddling his way poorly through a new timeline? Will he ever just get some peace?
What’s his purpose? Is he supposed to be doing something? Is he supposed to be fixing something? Is he supposed to be trying to find a way home? Is there actually a super secret extra special way he can get back to his timeline and actually get his revenge or is he supposed to just abandon that entirely?))

“I’m not.” Akefia snapped, quick to back off from the man and put some distance between them. He was beyond dangerous - even more dangerous than the thief himself. That knowledge was disturbing in itself. The man reminded him so much of how unhinged he, himself, was not-so-long ago.
“What’s your issue anyway? You’re acting like I did something to you when you’re the one who started this bullshit.”
What luck to see this man again. He seemed to be quite well considering the condition Kalin had left him in. Whistling he casually makes his way closer, seemingly un noticed. Once within reach a long slender leg kicked out at the other's knee, while giving a forceful shove. Sending the man sideways into traffic an oncoming scooter beeping its pathetic horn to no avail as it collides with Akefia. "Who is pathetic now?" Holding his side from laughter he just keeps walking as if nothing happened.
@infernitymaster
Akefia had been minding his own business, for once, and was walking through a busy street. He hated it but sometimes it suited him well to blend into the crowd. Besides, he had a goal in mind for the day - a house he’d been casing for a while, and he needed to be there before the sun went down. Even if that meant dealing with people. He needed some money after his previous injury had left him unwell for some time.
At least, that had been his plan. The crowd of people had left Akefia blind to potential attacks. He couldn’t possibly keep an eye on everyone, as much as he tried. The kick had been too well-aimed to have been accidental, and it had left the thief without much chance of regaining his balance. He was too close to traffic.
He fell in front of a scooter, the small vehicle sending him a few feet down the street and sending the rider flying off it. Still recovering from a head injury, the thief lost consciousness as he hit the ground.
Akefia didn’t stir until he was at the hospital - way sooner than he ever wanted to see it again. He found himself unable to move very much, his left arm pinned in place by a sling. A sharp pain rang through his chest as he tried to release his arm from the contraption. A whimper escaped him and he soon stopped.
His right hand came up to push lightly at his chest, trying to find the source of his pain and soon realised his collarbone was to blame. Had he broken it...? Akefia scowled at the sling and looked around him, grabbing for the remote he’d learned of the last time he was here and slammed the red button repeatedly.
