Hi! Can you help me find a fic I read ages ago? I think it's from Sherlock's POV. S and J are having an affair, and later it's revealed that Mary knows about it since the early days of their marriage and they even discussed it with a couples' therapist. Some fuzzy details:-Mary gives John a wooden cane, Sherlock breaks it and gives him a black steel cane-Sherlock puts his own finger around John's, like a wedding ring-Mary is a librarian with dark hairThank you so much!

Is there a fic where John cheats on someone he's dating/married to? Secretly smooching Sherlock of course. Idk I feel like I need to read more angsty, spicy fics where Johns at least obviously in love with Sherlock while dating someone else. Especially when Sherlock is well aware that he's the one who has John's heart. Jealous Sherlock is fun too but I always feel like him knowing is more in character for the show.

Hi Steph! I hope you are doing well and excited about your FTH art for this year!

I have a question about a fic that I read some time ago. I believe that the main plot was set around the time of The Empty Hearse, because John was newly engaged. After he gets past his anger at Sherlock, he ends up telling him all of the things he didn't say before Sherlock jumped. They end up in a relationship, but John is still engaged to Mary. He keeps promising Sherlock that he will break the engagement, but when he's with Mary he can't bring himself to do it. He likes being able to be with both of them. (John is not awesome in the fic lol). After this goes on for a while, Sherlock gives him an ultimatum, choose him or Mary. John ends up staying with Mary, thinking that Sherlock loves him too much to never have contact again. Sherlock spirals out of control.

At that point I don't remember if eventually John leaves Mary, or Sherlock and John never see each other again. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I may not have finished the fic lol.

Anyhoo, if you or anyone knows what this might be, I'd be so appreciative!

There’s a fic that I’m trying to find with no luck. Maybe you and your readers could help?? If I remember correctly, John is cheating on Mary with Sherlock and Mary doesn’t know. There’s a scene where Sherlock is invited over to John and Mary‘s for dinner. Mary makes a comment about Sherlock finding a romantic partner. Gosh! I feel like this is one of those JohnLock classics. Can’t believe I didn’t bookmark it! Thanks for any help you can give.🥰

Hello and happy 2025! 🥂

I am wondering if you or your fans have any idea of what this fic could be? I know I read it at least 3 or 4 years ago, and it recently came to mind again but for the life of me I can't find it again! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I thought I bookmarked it but it's not there.

Basically it is canon compliant through the wedding. John realizes at the wedding that Sherlock feels the same way that he has felt for a long time, and that he has made a mistake by marrying Mary. But with a baby on the way, he tries to stay with Mary, although he does let it slip to Sherlock about his true feelings. The stuff with her being an assassin doesn't happen. After a few months of trying to keep things as before, going on cases, etc., they finally break down and end up kissing (and possibly having sex right away, although I think it took a few more months to get to that point). They start an affair, with John promising that he will leave Mary once the baby is there. But she has a hard delivery and Post partum depression, so him leaving her keeps getting put off longer and longer. Meanwhile Sherlock is trying to remain happy with what he has. After a long period of time, maybe 1-2 years, he gives John an ultimatum of him or Mary. And John is just comfortable with the situation the way it is, especially with Rosie being there, so he chooses to stay with Mary, thinking Sherlock won't be able to stay apart from him and will come back to him. But Sherlock is brokenhearted and stays away from John for the rest of his life. I don't remember if Sherlock stays in London or not, but I seem to remember that for whatever reason, John can't get in touch with him once he realizes that he made a mistake. It didn't have a happy ever after ending for them, but I think Sherlock did end up in a relationship of some kind.

Anyway, not the usual Johnlock fic I tend to read which might be why I didn't bookmark it 🤷🏼‍♀️. But it's been on my mind and if I can I'd like to read it again.
