My sister, Infinite Uncertainty, stole the banana... I can’t say no to that face though <3
@askbananapie
i was in the middle ground looking to find the fountain of infinite mirror tree falling no one would hear shadow of nobody there murders of murderers living in fear of it
@metalloriff
finally got everyone together for a picture with Uncertainty not being in her quantum state (tends to happen when she is excited or nervous).
this is probably one of the best and most concise musical parallels between c3 and sect EVER: moonage daydream (the original) on c3's playlist, the ...cover? remix? the nero's day at disneyland edition of moonage daydream for sect's playlist. now THAT is intensely satisfying. if you havent heard the version on sects playlist you really ought to listen to it its fuckin.. it sure is somethig... i would embed but im mobile

Uncie: *noms ask*
IVE GOT A LOT OF 83RD CURVE BULLSHIT IN MY BRAIN AND I MUST FREE UP SPACE TO THINK ABOUT THE IMPORTANT THINGS IN MY LIFE, LIKE MORE 83RD CURVE BULLSHIT
AND FIRST OF ALL WHY IS IT THAT EVERY CONCEPT I WANNA EXPLORE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE BY RICK AND MORTY. IM GONNA DO IT STILL AND IM GONNA DO IT BETTER BECAUSE I CAN, BUT SERIOUSLY. IT’S STARTING TO GET RIDICULOUS.
i have,, so many.,. fuckin half finished thoughts about infinite uncertainty tho whihc is my current main plotline but it got really complicated really fast and it’s definitely not going to resolve nicely... i really wish i had a better format for it than rp but that’s the only thing that’ll work because its just such ... a big.. world. i’m not even referring to all of the 83rd curve when i say that but the parts of it that i’m actually working on making into things. but its so much Bigger and uhhhhhhhhhhh i just feel like i mightve bit off more than i could chew with this whole infinite realities infinite possibilities thing my brain is like actively overheating trying to process all the storylines simultaneously AND FHHTHE FUCKING CONSEQUENCES OF TINY ACTIONS IN ONE PART SPURRING HUGE CHANGES ACROSS THE CURVE GHG.. hHOW DO I NARROW IT DOWN MORE
if i were to ENTIRELY rework everything ive done and put it in a not-rp format i could easily cut out c3 and colorado entirely?? but, fuck u mmiss out on so much of the intricacies of riot’s character and it,. gogd i feel like maybe i haven’t involved enough of them maybe, maybe if i expand the cast a little- after all, sect is the only riot directly involved in the investigation who had personal stake in it (had a lizard), mm... c3 and 48 is a good combo but then you’re only getting the pro-curve perspective. maybe c3 48 and sect, cutting out colorado, who is basically irrelevant anyway aside from a quick glance at “what about the riots who never made contact with their alternate selves” that or i give colorado a lizard-not-quite-lizard fuck i dont know man, i can’t do any of those things anyway cause it relies on the other people im rping with. this is mostly if i were to ever put it in a format that’d make sense for anyone else.
the more i think about it, c3/48/sect might be the perfect combo, because 48 is essentially a curve-aligned colorado who’s a little nicer and a little less “i kill people for money because it’s the only thing i’ve ever been good at and i think it’s too late to change” and then you also have a neat comparison of c3 and 48 being Baby Riots compared to sect and the “who are you” “im you but i’ve realized the inevitable futility of our lives and given up” exchange.
c3 is def the heart of it all, without c3 nothing would work because he’s the moral compass to sect’s amoral despair, and because they’re the same person, there’s kind of this... reawakening? of sect’s ability to ...consider possibilities beyond the most efficient/easiest for him solution, which tends to be ignoring it most of the time. there’s sort of a “is this really what i used to be like.. ur so..baby... ur so- [tears up] sensitive and- and kind and- what the fuck, how has this world not crushed the life out of you yet”
and then 48 not being a halfway point but actually being the other side of the coin- which would make c3 into the middle ground with his building doubts for the integrity of the curve?? because 48 is sort of like sect but leaning the other way. “yeah, they do some things that might be iffy but i don’t really... care enough to fix them because they don’t affect me”
i guess i could just bring 48 in and then also have colorado and c3 and sect but god writing 3 characters in one rp is hard, writing 4 would be worse. i almost want to quit doing it as an rp entirely and go off on my own but then i wouldn’t have any walls to lob spaghetti at
i dont know, none of this is particularly cohesive or indicative of any kind of final statements about anything, i’m mostly just typing out my thoughts for the hell of it. i think im gona have to take a little break from it and then come back to it, or just do what i was doing before and keep Winging It. i definitely want to keep the rp going so.. as long as the others r having fun that’s what counts,. but it gives me a headache, and not being able to retcon as my brain processing catches up with the actual shit i want to explore is also giving me a headache
maybe i should ,,,,,,,,,, make another curve parallel to the 83rd so i can write it out without the fear of .......any kind of continuity conflicts..........god........please save me from the infinite dennys world hell. the worst part is that nobody can help me with it because it’s so reliant on.. my own understandings of my own characters and there’s so much prior knowledge it would effectively impossible unless you were me and had also been in all of the prior rp i’ve been in. so what i’m really getting at here is that i should go find the leafcurve and convince THEM to help me write about my fictional riot-based curves. but that’s just wishful thinking.
thinking about the dynamic between my three main riots- c3, colorado, and sect. c3 and sect are polar opposites from each other despite being the same person. to c3, sect is a reflection of all his worst qualities- arrogant, cruel, careless. to sect, c3 is a reflection of all his worst qualities- naive, spineless, insecure. there’s just so much difference in their upbringing- sect raised the 83rd curve, c3 was raised /by/ it. c3 is so far into chaotic good territory that he’s almost lawful- in fact, he might even be lawful good? if we go based on 83rd curve laws? vs sect… who is so far into chaotic neutral territory that he could touch chaotic evil without needing to stretch. and then colorado is a great character to compare them to, because he’s as close as you can get to a neutral third party, having never realized he’s a riot until c3 tells him. he grew up untouched by the antics of the 83rd curve, unaware and unaffected. he straddles the line between chaotic good and chaotic neutral, torn between his moral obligations and his desire for freedom. from his perspective, c3 and sect become what they truly are, two extremes of his existence… and neither is particularly appealing. they exist well as foils to him- c3 brings out his humanity, sect brings out his ambition. it’s the duality of man, told through one gay dude with a useless pair of goggles.
