Back in the early '90s I shot with one of these - Pentax ME Super, Black version. About a year and half ago I picked up another on eBay mostly for the 50mm f/1.4 lens. For the price the camera was basically free because it wasn't working. I figured the problem was the typical Pentax ME series issues with infinite wind caused by a deteriorated rubber cushion ring in the mechanism. Also, had a frame counter issue I fixed. There are several YT videos showing how to fix ME Supers, so I took my new broken "precious" apart and tried. And yes, success - I fixed it and ever since it has been working well. The second image has a small red marking showing where the rubber ring is that usually (after 40+ years!) breaks down and gums up the works. You just clean it out and assemble again without. You can try to replace it but I believe it was put there to dampen the sound and so works fine without (as my limited use verifies) and I can't hear any difference. I've always really liked the ME Super. I've shot a few rolls now and then thru this one over the last year and some are on tumblr. All of the pics from early '90s are long lost. I just never kept very good track of the negs when I moved around over the years. Too bad, though I doubt there was much of interest.
