Im so glad that theres someone else who actually understands how beneficial David being alive is and how he doesnt undermine Emilys revenge- all I've see recently is people complaining and saying that theyre gonna stop watching, that post you made addressing all the complaints people have was such a breath of fresh air, so thank you ! (ps your blog is really cool I am literally in love rn)
*grins* You're very welcome! I'm actually glad that there are others too that see the benefits to this particular twist (yourself included, by the way just went through your blog and can't believe I'm not following until now! *clicked follow button*)
I also noted another trend for those that are still complaining/outraged about David Clarke... and that is 90% of them are still hurt over the loss of Aiden. That's partially why I wanted to make my posts to help them understand why Aiden's death wasn't in vain. I feel they're hurt and I know that I would be in their shoes too if it was Nolan that died (hell, for days I was fretting my reaction if this beautiful fictional character that I love were to die). And I like to think that BECAUSE for a moment's time I felt what they were feeling, I was able to think "Well, if he did die hopefully it's because he was doing something for Emily so his death (though cruel and fuck I hate it) will not be in vain." And then once it was revealed that David Clarke was alive... I actually sat back, took an hour oh so to REALLY think about it and...
Yeah, I applaud the showrunners for making a move that they probably knew would enrage others BUT was beneficial to overall story that they're trying to tell us.
So here's hoping those that are hurt/angry take the time to -- I suppose -- heal from the loss and if they're TRUE Revengers, then they'll still watch and see the big picture. Remember Aiden's final words: "Emily will win." So let's see our girl do just that.
