“I can’t believe you talked me into this.”
“No, no, Annabeth, you got to trust me.” Percy called behind him, pushing his way throw green bush and low hanging tree branches.
He had a towel hanging over his shoulder, and a loose green tank top on which almost blended into the forest around, heck, if it wasn’t for his bright neon orange to blue swim trunks on Annabeth was sure she would loose him in their surroundings.
Annabeth continued to follow him, wondering where the hell he was trying to lead them this deep into the woods. Percy had promised a ‘wicked awesome surprised’ for them both and kind of left out the rest of all of the details, but she choose to ignore that fact and put her heart into trusting him.
“This is going to be so much fun!” he called ahead of her as she quickly followed behind Percy, trying to avoid branches coming swinging back, almost hitting her.
She could begin to hear water close by, ‘Is it a river or something?’ she asked herself; Annabeth chuckled, “It better be for the walk we’re doing!” as Percy walked out of the woods and into the open. “I can’t believe you talked me into this, coming all the way out here” she called to in front of her.
Percy chuckled and shock his head, glancing back behind her. “Trust me, it will all be worth it!”
The light almost seemed to blind them from coming out of the woods as Annabeth put her hand above her eyes to shield them, Percy grabbed her free hand and pulled her ahead. She looked down and felt a mixed of large, smooth rocks, and tiny pebbles below her feet, and the sound of roaring water grew strong and strong. She then looked ahead as her boyfriend pulled her along.
Annabeth could see it, a waterfall maybe 30.. 40 feet high, and they were standing at the top, she gasp at its natural beauty before Percy came to a stop, turned and looked her in the eyes. “Annabeth you gotta trust me here”
She raised an eyebrow before Percy again started pulling her along, this time with a much faster pace, she was worried about what he meant, but also if he was gonna trip and fall smash his head against the rocks in front of him. When they got to a head of waterfall Percy, again, stopped. Annabeth was getting more and more confused and terrified of what he was thinking.
“Annabeth I love you, so so much, so please, try and have some fun with this.” Percy said, holding her tight in his arms.
It finally clicked in Annabeth’s head. She looked at him with a deadpan face trying to get out of his arms squirming. “Perseus Jackson don’t you dare even think about it I am not dressed correctly and -” she was cut off before Percy then jumped over the side of the waterfall.
Last minute thoughts were to wrap her arms and legs tightly around percy with all dear life, she would get him back for this later
