Friday night (12/9/16) Youth Empowerment Event at Columbia University, for Professor @ChrisEmdin is the main reason why I started & created Travel & Hip Hop back when I was living in a little apartment down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I wanted to put together a movement where I can be able to Travel around the world and still reach back and talk to the Youth with open arms & passion from a voice of somebody that doesn't represent the stereotypes portrayed on reality tv or through their social media screen. Lastly, I am truly looking forward in working on other Future Youth-Empowerment Projects with Troy Ave who shared an amazing testimony. The man had so many positive/powerful choice of words that uplifted the entire room filled with so many Scholars, DR's Professors, Entrepreneurs, Educators, Professionals and Young Black Scientists who are still in High school and not becoming a product of their everyday environment outside of their School. I also want to give a huge-huge shout out to Hip Hop Professor & Dr @ChrisEmdin for being such a great host and using his platform as an Educator to show young people of color that you still can be dope and educated. I also want to give another shout out to Mr Allen DeWane Harris for making this event possible with his ideas and vision for @troyave Myself, Dejan of @infinite.inferno Jineea Butler- of Hip Hop Union and the many Youth who came out to get inspired and motivated.
