Dead strawberries and coloured cheese
Was listening earlier to an old episode of BBC’s “The Infinite Monkey Cage” from 26 November 2012.
A few funny topics were discussed.
“They also levitated drops of water and dead strawberries”. Can we indeed categorise strawberries as dead? :) I’m not sure I’ll ever look as strawberries in the same way ever again.
Apparently, according to a single research, more white people choose white cheese than black people who choose which cheese. So it’s all sorted then!

2012
Still wasn’t a fan of the old organised/forced happiness events of 2012----> Xmas, Birthday’s, New Years Eve ..you get the picture, that type of thing - basically any kind of event that you probably enjoyed when you were a kid. When I was 12 we spent Xmas in Tenerife. I think it may have been lost on me then but looking back anything that turns Xmas into an afterthought can only be a good thing..and I still got my presents!!
“I hope” “It’s meant to be” “In our prayers” “It’s God’s will” “You will go to Hell” “My faith tells me to..”
….these are some of the phrases that before 2012 I just accepted, no challenge, no thought, just accepted. Of course people have a right to their beliefs and some of these phrases are used by people who are not even religious but that does not mean we don’t have a right to challenge the religious believers.
To tell a child if they don’t do something for religious reasons they or their friends will go to Hell is child abuse, and for me encapsulates everything that can be evil with religion and something I had never thought about before until recently highlighted by Richard Dawkins.
Things I enjoyed in 2012 that spring to mind; My family, Twitter, boxing,The Olympics and the Infinite Monkey Cage oh yeah and taking Wilson the pug for his daily walk.
