Love Makes Fools of Us All ~ RahotepxSiphrah *Flashback*
The day had been full of endless chores, from dawn 'til dusk. It had begun with preparations in the royal kitchens for Prince Khufu's birth-day feast which would be taking place the following evening. After that, she'd spent hours dusting temples, washing the Royal Family's clothes and scrubbing two of the main halls until she could see her own reflection through the marble. By the time she took a break at sunset, Siphrah's hands were raw and red. She stopped by the river for a quick bath in order to rid her body of the sheen of sweat it had acquired, promising herself that she would return to the rest of her chores as soon as she was done... But she did no such thing.
And her parents would kill her for that.
A bit of sweeping in the royal gardens was her last task for the night. Instead, she found herself re-entering the Palace, her long dark hair still wet from the bath and clinging to her shoulders. Before she knew it, she was slipping through the hallway that led to the Princes' private bedchambers.
Her parents would kill her for that too.
These hallways were usually guarded, and she, she was rarely audacious enough to risk it even when they were not. Normally, she entered through the open-terraces connected to his bedchamber, and even that was a fool's risk to take. But this, this was beyond folly. Still, Siphrah dashed forward quietly, taking care not to be overheard. She blamed it on the day's exhausting workload, on her tired mind and aching body. There was very little room left for coherent thought tonight, so that her mind recognized only one thing - Him.
And now, now she was in a bed with sheets softer than any fabric she'd ever known in her twenty-odd years of life. And his fine, strong hands were sliding up her naked body, causing her breath to hitch in her throat. Despite the hot August night, Siphrah felt a shiver run down the length of her spine.
Oh, her parents would most definitely kill her for this.
