If you are only against genital mutilation when it comes to female babies, and you completely ignore the genital mutilation of male babies (AKA circumcision), you're a piece of shit that doesn't actually give a fuck about keeping children safe.

No babies should have their genitals mutilated whatsoever, yet the TERF and Radfem communities only ever speak up when it happens to female babies.

i’ve seen one argument that says that trans men are simply confused girls that were brainwashed by the patriarchy. like, no? i concede that some trans men lean a bit too far into the toxic masculinity of their cis peers, but it doesn’t change the fact that they are still men. they are simply trying to live their lives authentically as themselves; i don’t see how this is an issue. in fact, i think because it’s such a non-issue, no TERF i’ve seen here has ever gone after trans men.

your argument is that both that women don’t need to conform to the stereotypes of femininity, but then when trans women become involved suddenly not being feminine enough is a problem??

and i want to point out something else- they always define women as people with female sex organs, but they don’t seem to realize that some women simply lack them? intersex people exist, people. i’m tired of this “adult human female” bullshit.

and we’re just ignoring the cis women that have had their female sex organs removed for medical reasons. by your logic, they are no longer women.

and don’t get me started on the statistics that they use to justify their hatred of trans women. i get that a select few of them have done horrible acts, but that’s true of every group? the vast majority of the trans women i know are lovely people who simply want to be left alone to live their lives.

my beliefs on the matter:

- anyone can identify as whatever they wish. sex organs have no effect on any of this. male? female? dog? attack helicopter? go wild!

- trans people are not inherently more likely to commit violent crimes. every group has bad apples; they are no excuse to generalize and then discriminate against trans people.

- feminism is valid. i love and support women as much as the next person on this website. however, being a feminist is not an excuse to hate on people who are already oppressed enough as is and are trying to live their lives.

- good men are out there, and it’s our job to foster healthy masculinity and respect. i promise you it is more productive than hating on trans people.

I want to terfs and transphobes to feel oppressed for hating trans people. I want terfs to recognize that they are politically aligned with fascism. I know that each and every terf secretly (or not so secretly) smiled with gratification when Trump, the pedophile white nationalist, signed his first piece of legislation to begin his reign of fascist terror. A piece of legislation signed day one to initiate the fascist hatred of trans people in law. They support this. All of the denial and false charts, the excuses and plausible deniability in the world cannot erase this simple fact.

And for the record, I am a radical feminist, which is a marxist feminist that looks at women's condition and history through a materialist lens. Half the accounts (more than) here that call themselves radfems have never interacted with radical feminist literature and apply an idealist perspective on women's rights, and, so doing, are left vulnerable to fascist propaganda. Why are radical feminists so averse to understanding their own theory and history? It's the same as leftists who have no desire to understand the actual history of the west and the Americas. They end up supporting deportation and capitalism, which is exactly what terfs do allying with the right on "the trans question."
