Harry made a decision to live privately with his wife, Meghan. He was born to privilege, wealth, duty but his obsessive fear of the press, his anger and trauma of her mother’s death, and his intelligent, strong wife who both always wanted complete control of themselves, and their narrative. The first three episodes are about Meghan, and their unique love story. The last three is a declaration of war on the UK press, melting the tabloids with the positive press from serious Royal journalists and newspapers as wholly corrupt and against Harry and Meghan. The negative press either justified or not, and war on the monarcy itself. Harry has declared a bitter war against those who have pointed anything out negatively in the press or behind closed doors. Harry has declared war on his brother and father, when likely they won’t publicly share their side to defend themselves. In the end, Harry and Meghan are world famous because of the royal institution Harry was born into. Harry sees that institution as old, racist, and dated. Those conversations are important as well. Monarchy is a hierarchy. However, it does not mean the late Queen and her family or their press secretaries are entitled, racist enemies. As the Queen said, “recollections may vary.” There is proof Harry and Meghan were protected from paparazzi at their secured English countryside manor, and they are protected in their multi million Montecito mansion. This was their side of the truth and everyone has that right to share their story. The other Royals who don’t get to share their side of the story, who don’t talk about themselves, but share the humanitarian and charitable issues they are working on or promoting. Harry or Meghan had they wanted to make progressive change within the monarchy, have now ostracized themselves from the Royals. I respect Meghan for being the first woman of color, Biracial woman to marry into the Windsors, and she and her husband have a beautiful life.
