stiles is an asshole, he’s possessive, he’s easily jealous, he says stupid shit, he does bad things, he’s not the best person. i know all of these. but there’s a few lines that even he wouldn’t cross.
he wouldn’t insult liam’s IED. stiles has anger issues, he always fucking has. he even went through a stage of having no control over his body at all where he hurt many people, even literally murdering some, and judging by his reaction during that scene, he knows what IED is? and how the person has no say in their actions? and how much guilt they feel? he wouldn’t have called liam a ticking time bomb. he, himself, would see himself that way sometimes, he wouldn’t do that. yeah, he might’ve been annoyed scott gave liam powers, he might’ve been annoyed that liam was liam, but he wouldn’t have stepped over that line.
the milking that scene with isaac re: his abuse. he knows some of what isaac’s been through, probably more than isaac even wants. in all honesty, he’s probably read the police files regarding anything that happened. stiles himself is a victim of abuse, he was physically abused by his ill mother as well as emotionally traumatised. and the abuse from his father, while he won’t admit it’s there, still occurs. his best friend also suffered at the hands of an alcoholic father, hence stiles’ distaste for raphael mccall. while stiles is obviously a fucking asshole to isaac (mostly unreasonably, and mostly out of jealousy re: scott plus the fact isaac was siding with derek and tried to kill lydia in the past and he’s a professional at holding grudges. there’s also other reasons but this isn’t the stisaac post), this is a line he wouldn’t step across.
