A four-leaf Venn diagram that started out as an instructive guide to a successful pandemic response. The intention was to position different countries into the different overlapping spaces.
But then this started to feel like a more general observation for any organisation. I started thinking about the lack of snow ploughs in the UK a few years ago (when it started snowing again after a number of years of warm winter weather). “Follow the Science” became broader “Follow the Evidence” - then we are talking about the challenge of balancing public health concerns with the economic ones. And if none of this is wrapped up in straightforward messages it all falls down.
