We are looking for a talented IT Security Auditor to join our internal audit department based out of McLean, Virginia. The person in this role will be instrumental in upholding IT governance, risk and control policies by conducting internal audits of the technologies that support our various business processes. The audit professional will be responsible for testing the effectiveness of existing controls for our various applications keeping in mind our industry's compliance best practices. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Identifying vulnerabilities within the design through controls testing and, in turn, providing recommendations for remediation.Producing meticulously written documentation of all conducted audits including both pre- and post-audit documentation.Performing assessments of the internal controls structure and having the ability to spot threats & communicate those threats to team members, upper management, etc.Working both individually, as well as with a team, on assigned technology audits.Coordinating with senior management to ensure all documentation is correct and in line with the company's standards. Qualifications & Skills Required:Minimum 2 years of experience in an technology audit role with proven skills in risk-based auditing.Minimum 1 year of experience in a role focused on Information Security.Bachelor's Degree (in computer science, information systems, or related is preferred).Active CISA certification (Certified Information Systems Auditor).Understanding of COBIT and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as industry standards (ISO:27000, NIST, etc.)Notably strong communication skills are essential.Detail-oriented with proven experience creating IT audit documentation.
