It's really baller how when I use Shinigami Eyes and I see a blog marked as green, it can either be a trans-positive blog (ACTUAL) or a transfem-only single-issue-wonk who spends most of their time putting down trans men and accusing intersex people of being intrusive and uppity. I don't know how else to put this but in the same way that progressives will often take a "noble savages" perspective while attempting to rehabilitate the image of the Median American as a principled working class hero who's merely currently confused, I see way too many people get butthurt when someone insults the American South and begin describing it like the lost Garden of Eden.

Online skeptic content, including critical readings of the bible, debunking of creationist content, and debates with whatever religious figures and pundits are available, appealed to the distaste for proselytizing that was taking over the country and bolstered anti-religiosity, leading to a firm secular pushback all-around. While many of the big names in the skeptic community would go on to create anti-feminist content (and then became tradcaths lmao), atheists continue to be a highly progressive demographic even today. With a cease to the evangelical tide and a rise in civil rights and general progressivism, people begin to take things for granted. Amidst the more "agnostically fascist" policies like mass deportations and civil rights repeals, we see also returns to evangelicism and escalations into christian nationalism. The white house releases a statement of intent to "eradicate anti-christian bias". Objections to sex education return, hand in hand with the "parent's rights" movement. Pornography is increasingly under attack, outright labelled in the mandate as sexual deviance, and equated with queerness. Federal workers are allowed to, and encouraged, to proselytize while on the job. Zionism and unflinching dedication to the ethnonationalist state Israel as they commit a genocide continues to hold strong, mostly because of military-industrial complex interests, partially because Holden Bloodfeast really loves seeing brown children get bombed, but still very much in line with the christian-zionist project to ensure jewish sovereignty of the Levant, a perquisite for the second coming of christ. This sounds like an anime plot, but its real.
Hard times are on the horizon, that's pretty much non-negotiable.
