GERMENS let world champions shine Aljona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy showed their last performance. In the dimmed ice-skating hall there were two elfish beings gliding over the ice. Many coloured glittering dots were responsible for a mystical atmosphere, magic appeared and the two moving bodies could only be guessed. The bodies belong to Aljona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy. The two were world champions- five times- and wearing costumes with coloured light emitting diodes when they first performed in the ice-show „Imagine on Ice”. Those costumes were designed by the artists René König and Gregor-Torsten Kozik. It is a hard challenge for gliding on the ice- in almost darkness. But both ice-skaters have experience. For the first time the two burned their firework, a firework with light-emitting diodes on their bodies, on the ice while people were cheering crazily in their show in August in Seoul ( South Korea). A cheering audience is also an incentive and a confirmation for the two designers to walk ways that are uncommon. “We developed this show costumes in cooperation with the textile research institute Thürigen-Vogtland in Greiz. “That was an exciting time“, said René König. In 2011 the successful ice- skaters and the textile specialists worked together. “We have good chemistry between us- directly from the first meeting.“ Said the trainer Ingo Steuer. All participants threw their ideas in and that is important as a great show does only occur through the perfect symbiosis between the outfit and the performance. Such trips into the showworld are quiet rare for Gregor-Torsten Kozik ad René König. Normally they design fancy shirts in the cutting and colour. The ice show was a special event as they introduced their brand “GERMENS artfashion by gregor and rené“ for the first time in front of a giant audience. Two sold out performances gave the young designer duo the chance to present themselves in front of 8,000 people in total. At the final and high point of the show all the participants including Martin Schmitt and band wore different GERMENS shirts. The final image does not only show a large diversity of the brand and the creativity of the creators. This final image showed pure soulfulness! Meanwhile Robin Szolkowy ended his sporty career. Aljona Savchenko is seeking for further international medals with her new partner Bruno Massot from France. So there are new challenges for the designers. “We are looking forward to accompany the pair during the following years.“ said René König. www.germensartfashion.com GERMENS bringt Weltmeister zum Leuchten In der abgedunkelten Eishalle gleiten zwei elfenhafte Wesen über das Eis. Die vielen bunten Glitzerpunkte verbreiten mystische Stimmung, zaubern immer neue Magie und lassen dabei die sich bewegenden Körper nur erahnen. Diese gehören Aljona Savchenko und Robin Szolkowy. Die fünffachen Weltmeister tragen bei ihrem ersten Auftritt in der Eisshow „Imagine on Ice“ mit bunten Leuchtdioden besetzte Kostüme - entworfen von den Designern René König und Gregor-Torsten Kozik.

 Faktisch im Dunkeln zu laufen ist eine große Herausforderung. Doch die beiden Kufenkünstler haben darin Übung. Erstmals brannten sie ihr von 1.000 Leuchtdioden am Körper verstärktes Feuerwerk auf dem Eis bei einer umjubelten Show im August 2012 in Seoul (Südkorea) ab.

 Ein begeistertes Publikum ist auch für die beiden Designer Bestätigung und Ansporn, ungewöhnliche Wege zu gehen. „Diese Showbekleidung haben wir gemeinsam mit dem Textilforschungsinstitut Thüringen-Vogtland in Greiz entwickelt. Das war eine spannende Zeit“, sagte René König. Bereits seit 2011 arbeiten die erfolgreichen Eissportler und die Textilspezialisten zusammen. „Die Chemie zwischen uns hat sofort gestimmt“, meinte Trainer Ingo Steuer. Alle Beteiligten bringen Ideen ein. Das ist wichtig, denn erst durch die perfekte Symbiose von Outfit und Performance entsteht eine erstklassige Show.

 Solche Abstecher in die Showwelt sind für Gregor-Torsten Kozik und René König aber eher selten. Denn hauptsächlich entwerfen sie in Schnitt und Farbe außergewöhnliche Hemden. Die Eisshow war für sie deshalb ein besonderes Erlebnis, denn zum ersten Mal wurde ihre Marke „GERMENS artfashion by gregor und rené“ vor einer gigantischen Kulisse vorgestellt. Bei zwei ausverkauften Veranstaltungen präsentierte sich das noch junge Designer-Label vor insgesamt 8.000 Zuschauern. Zum Finale und Höhepunkt der Show trugen alle Mitwirkenden sowie auch Herr Schmitt und Band unterschiedliche GERMENS-Hemden. Das Abschlussbild zeigte nicht nur die große Vielfalt der Marke und die Kreativität ihrer Schöpfer. Diese farbenfrohe Kulisse war Lebensfreude pur! 

 Mittlerweile hat Robin Szolkowy seine sportliche Karriere beendet. Aljona Savchenko peilt mit ihrem neuen Partner Bruno Massot aus Frankreich weitere internationale Medaillen an. Pour la première fois ils l'ont brûlé des feux d'artifice sur la glace, dans un spectacle très acclamé en Août 2012, à Séoul (Corée). Ceci est important parce que grâce à la combinaison parfaite de vêtement et de la performance des résultats dans un spectacle de première classe.Aliona Savchenko veux gagner plus de médailles internationales avec leur nouveau partenaire. Le nouveau partenaire est Bruno Massot de France. Donc, il y a de nouveaux défis pour le concepteur. « Nous nous réjouissons de joindre ce couple dans les prochaines années. » Dit René König. Un public enthousiaste, c`est motivant et rassurant. C`est le motif pour les deux de aller chemins inhabituels. «Ce spectacle vêtements, nous avons développé en collaboration avec l'Institut de recherche textile Thuringe-Vogtland à Greiz. C'est un temps excitant, « dit René König.
