I thought about making it disappear, but again this proved to look wrong, especially since the frog moved to the hole within one frame, so if it immediately disappeared this would look particularly strange, as though nothing had occurred. 

I came up with the idea to slowly add to the transparency of the image once the user had landed the frog successfully, which would make the frog start to look darker since the ellipse was a dark colour. I used the value of a counting variable taken away from 255 to create the number for the transparency, which would begin once the boolean ‘win’ was set to true. 

I realised that I could enhance this illusion further by decreasing the size of the frog as it ‘fell’ along with the colour change for an even better effect, where the avatar actually looked like it was falling from a height until it disappeared completely, and then would be reset in the original position with the right size and original transparency once a key was pressed.

This worked well, but there was a small issue initially with making the frog transparent, as it turned out this affected the background image as well, but I quickly figured out that noTint() could be used to prevent this.

Today I set up a scoring system for my game. I created a new method within the Frog class called score(), which used the posX and posY variables that dictate the frog’s coordinates to decide whether the frog is in similar enough location to the hole to class as a win. If the frog is within the vicinity of the hole, so far 3 points are added to the score, with 0 points being added if the user misses.

I also added a reset function with keyPressed by recalling the frog object and its methods once any of the keys on the keyboard had been pressed, but unfortunately I did not consider the effect this would have on the score since the score method was within the frog class as well, therefore resetting the score back to 0 each time a key was pressed instead of saving this. 

I attempted to create a new class for the scoring system to resolve this issue, but because of how the booleans were set up in the Frog class this proved to be more difficult than I had realised. Therefore, I had to change it so that the reset() function was called from within the Frog class instead, still only after a key has been pressed.
