My InkHunter Experience
Now, THIS app was my favourite to use. Although I have plenty of tattoos and am currently not looking to get any more, I spent an ungodly amount of time (almost 20 minutes a day over the course of 2 weeks) using this app and was really pleased by how effective it was in delivering its goal. This app allows users to try any tattoo in real-time, on whatever part of their body their desire, in whatever size they’d like. The app has a huge gallery of tattoo designs to choose from and also allows users to upload their own designs to try. Once choosing or uploading a design, all you have to do is draw a smiley face - about the size you want the tattoo - on your skin, and the tattoo will appear. I was initially worried about the effectiveness of the option to upload your own design but found that if a photo was uploaded which had a translucent background the “tattoo” appeared just fine (as seen in my Danny Dorito hand tattoo I uploaded myself). This app was extremely easy to use and never had a problem locating the smiley face drawn on my skin (I even used a purple pen with no issues) however I am unsure how effective - if at all - the app would be on darker skin tones. Although I couldn’t find any questions/answers regarding its effectiveness on different skin tones online, I hope this wouldn’t be a barrier for those wanting to use it, as being unable to enjoy this app because of the colour of one’s skin is not only unfair, but bordering on discriminatory, to say the least. In terms of lag, the app had none whatsoever, even when moving the “tattooed” area about which was again, quite impressive.
