I fall Not physically but mentally I fall into a realm inside my subconscious mind A realm where life and death cannot be So, how can I live in my mind? I don't I simply look into the world and never enter Those who enter die slowly Slowly because of the pain and sorrow put into it You then become apart of it I see a dark entity flowing within Growing from pain and anger I feel Living but not, Dead but also not But it is moving and working killing everything it catches I get caught in its gaze I look into its cold dark black eyes Filled with hatred and memories of hurt i leave that place shaking with fear Afraid of what I may become.
Her ink-stained hands. -Prompt for writeworld
Her ink-stained hands trembled as she clutched the black pen. Tears were already free falling from her eyes, mixing in with the perspiration and silent whimpers of fear she’d produce. She didn’t know how long she had before the society caught up with her, but she didn’t care. She had to warn them, warn the innocent, warn the non-believers, warn the Class.
"Charles. KIA. 19:43:24. 9827 alpha power beta: 07: 13. Tower of London. Battle for St. Mariner."
The door handle shook violently and she fevered for her life. Screams and shouts echoed around the room and her breath hitched. She folded the slip of paper as small as she could and stuffed it inside the locket slung haphazardly around her neck. The distant hum of a laser caused her fingers to shake tremendously and a look of fear, trepidation, and sheet terror graced her features as she crawled underneath a desk. The door hurled open and she threw her hands around her head cowering into a tiny ball, the muffled voices of a sob threatening to reveal her, the knuckles of her hands turned pale as her grip on the necklace tightened. Heavy boots, voices, and electronic beeps and murmurs crawled to her ears muffled by her hands and hiding place. The sounds grew closer and closer. One muffled step. One heavy murmur. One series of beeps and squeaks. Each noise enticing a sob from her lips. Suddenly the noises stopped, a silent gasp escaped her. The desk was lifted, her ink-stained hands shook no more.
