canon to Inkkay lore, Ink will have some of those days he’d rather feel nothing than feel as upset as he was before. Kay notices this and just showers him with affection. She knows he doesn’t feel enough to be annoyed by it, and she wants him to know that she’ll always be there for him even through these rough patches. Ink’s emotions may be absent, but his rational thought is still there, and he knows he is greatly loved and cared for by Kay. The next time he takes his vials, he returns the favor as a thank you.
