▌ 。。。Caught. And undeniably so. How a wilted plant had suddenly bloomed upon Jisoo’s touch, it was impossible for Hanna to overlook the mystical act. The pair had been supernatural for a time longer than their relation, and perhaps this was it. The guardian would meet a fairy, and the fairy would meet a guardian. As Jisoo struggled to string her words together she held her hand out towards Hanna – a pale and aghast version of the friend she had come to cherish. There was no explanation to calm the mortal, if ‘mortal’ was at all appropriate, but rest assured Jisoo would be truthful to the only dongsaeng she truly trusted.
❝ I’m sorry, Hanna. I… I don’t know where to begin. ❞ Sighing, she returned the state of the plant to its originally late condition. She had averted her gaze, lightly tapping at the fence beside them, only to find her peer staring at the hands guilty of performing healing. Hanna was smarter than this, of course. She’d expect Jisoo to enlighten her if not decipher the act completely, therefore unveiling the fact that the elder was not of this world. ❝ I promise you, I am human. I was born to a human mother who didn’t want or take care of me, and I grew up a frail child. It’s still me, Hanna. I just… I’m capable of certain things and I won’t die like other humans will.❞
She stared, rudely even so but her eyes refused to look somewhere else and her mind was beginning to process what she had just come to witness. And for the split of a moment there was a terrifying realization hitting her, that Jisoo may not be the person the younger took her for - but even so, who was Hanna to point a finger at the other when she had so shamelessly kept herself as an enigma to most others as well? Her nature was no joke either and she feared the day where she would have to face what she wasn’t comfortable with just yet. But right now, all that didn’t matter - only Jisoo did and Hanna was, though surely intimidated by the sight in front of her, not willing to give up on a friendship she cherished so much.
Her gaze dropped onto all the other plants in front of her, causing Hanna’s frown to be replaced with a weak smile instead. And how could she not smile, when reminded of all the fragile life that she was surrounded with? She had heard stories of other faes, those who were bonded to nature and spoke to flowers like it was the most normal thing to do, but Hanna was no part of them: she belonged to those that were abandoned from the fae court for their rebellious nature and the desire to question everything happening around them. Or in other words, she belonged to the wrong kind.
The blonde wasn’t sure what to feel or say at what unveiled in front of her but she knew the trust that was placed with her wouldn’t be wasted. ❝Your mother may be human, but you carry a different spark inside of you.❞ Whether or not that spark came from Jisoo’s father was beyond Hanna but she presumed that not every situation was similar to hers and thus, wouldn’t want to make assumptions without being certain at first. ❝Humans ... how do they die? I have encountered those with empty eyes but a blessed life and those with passion in their hearts and meaningless in their lives. I don’t think you fall under any of these categories.❞
